Independent mobile accessories distributor Frequency Telecom has announced record sales of £29million for the financial year ending March 2012, an increase of 38% on the previous year. Product shipments increased by an impressive 68%.
Frequency Managing Director Gareth Limpenny is delighted with the results and commented, ‘this is an outstanding performance and particularly so in a challenging financial climate. It clearly demonstrates that Frequency has a strong combination of excellent products, very capable employees and discerning customers. Trading across Europe, we have seen increases in sales in almost every country sector. We feel confident that our business model, which combines commercially driven sales propositions with innovative and effective marketing and logistics support will continue to be appreciated by our customers.’
Frequency’s product portfolio includes cases from Case-Mate, audio products from JAYS, power products from Griffin, signal boosters from Nextivity and mobile accessories from Motorola and HTC.
Frequency is seeking to maintain this level of growth as a minimum for the new financial year and is investing in recruitment, training, equipment and buildings to ensure its objectives are achieved. Sales and marketing teams are being restructured to support the changing face of business and to ensure its products expand into channels beyond mobile technology.
In October last year, Frequency established regional offices in Germany and Russia and the benefits in working locally and establishing closer customer relationships are already being seen with increases in sales and distribution.
